Cardiff art-rock group HMS Morris have released Glue, their second new single of 2026 following June's Bwletin Brys.
The single came out on 7 August via the band's Cardiff label Bubblewrap Collective. HMS Morris are signed to the label and have built a reputation for blending psych-pop, experimental rock and electronic textures.
According to the band, Glue is "a statement of longing for the idealized stories and characters we create throughout our lives".
The track is taken from the band's forthcoming fourth album Saci Hacs, recorded between the band's home in Cardiff and an underground garage in Johnstown. The album is described as exploring "the small systems and personal rituals that the songwriters have invented or discovered to help them survive modern life". Saci Hacs is set for release on 30 October via Bubblewrap Collective.
HMS Morris have earned three Welsh Music Prize nominations to date, for their albums Interior Design (2016), Inspirational Talks (2018) and Dollar Lizard Money Zombie (2023).
The band have a run of live dates scheduled from this month through to November, including an appearance at Pro Weekend Festival in Castellón de la Plana, Spain, on 15 October and a Cardiff album launch at Clwb Ifor Bach on 20 November. They play Swansea on 14 August and tour in October with Catalan band Remei de ca la Fresca, with dates in Manchester, Leeds and London.
