Pulp will take over Manchester's Rat & Pigeon pub between 28 and 30 August, coinciding with their sold-out Wythenshawe Park show on 28 August and the release of their live album, Live!
The Pulp Pop-Up Pub will be open from 12pm to 7pm on Friday 28 August, 12pm until late on Saturday 29 August, and 12pm to 2pm on Sunday 30 August. The venue, at 33 Back Piccadilly in the city centre, will feature a jukebox programmed by Jarvis Cocker and Pulp-themed events, with the pub decorated with memorabilia from the band's archive.
A limited-edition Wythenshawe Park T-shirt will be sold exclusively at the pub while stocks last, and there will be a chance to win test pressings of Live!
Cocker posted about the event, asking: "Do you want something different? Do you want to revitalise your social life? Do you want to get drunk on possibility? (responsibly)."
He added: "Do you want to hear some really good music coming out of a juke box? Do you want to learn something interesting? Yes? Yes, yes, yes? Sounds like you need to visit the Pulp Pop-Up Pub."
Live! comes out on 28 August via Rough Trade, the same evening Pulp will be onstage at Wythenshawe Park. The album was recorded at the band's two shows at London's O2 Arena on 13 and 14 June 2025, the week their eighth studio album More hit number one.
The Wythenshawe Park show is Pulp's UK headline exclusive outdoor show this year. The gig marks the final date of the Here Comes More Tour, which began on 7 June 2025 in Glasgow.
There will also be giveaways at Piccadilly Records across the weekend.
