Bloodstock reveals 27 bands for 2027 including Mercyful Fate, Electric Callboy and Motionless In White

Bloodstock has revealed the first 27 bands for its 2027 festival at the Ronnie James Dio stage during this year's event, following Municipal Waste's set.

Danish heavy metal pioneers Mercyful Fate will headline the Ronnie James Dio Stage on Friday, with frontman King Diamond confirming the band will arrive armed with a long-awaited new album. He said: "Mercyful Fate is honored and looking extremely forward to playing BLOODSTOCK again, last time was awesome, and this time with a brand new album out, FINALLY!!"

German electro-metal collective Electric Callboy will bring their live set to the Bloodstock stage on Saturday night. The band posted: "Our first ever Bloodstock. Heavy music, questionable outfits, and thousands of metalheads? Sounds like a Perfect fit to us. We're in."

Closing the festival on Sunday will be Motionless In White, who will perform their first ever European festival headline show and their only UK appearance of 2027. Frontman Chris Motionless said: "We were told that we are one of the most requested bands to perform at your legendary festival, so it is with great honor to announce that we are answering the call and will be seeing you next year for our first ever European festival headlining show, and only U.K. show of 2027!"

The Sophie Lancaster Stage headliners have also been confirmed, with Madball opening Thursday, followed by Gaerea on Friday, Kanonenfieber on Saturday and Dethklok closing the festival on Sunday.

The first wave also includes Acid Bath, Green Lung, Children of Bodom, DevilDriver, Corrosion of Conformity, Imminence, Wind Rose, Sylosis, Decapitated, Witch Club Satan, Hammerfall, Hypocrisy, The Halo Effect, Tortured Demon, Gutalax, Humanity's Last Breath, Conan, Dool, Pig Destroyer and Fulci.

Bloodstock 2027 will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire, from 5-8 August 2027, with around 100 more bands still to be announced.

Early bird standard weekend tickets are available from the main entrance box office during Bloodstock 2026 for £210 with no booking fee. Once those tickets are gone, the price rises to £235 plus booking fee, with general on-sale beginning at 9am on Monday 10 August.

For 2027, Bloodstock is also introducing two luxury VIP areas: the Serpent's Lair VIP campsite and the new Serpent's Lair VIP Sanctuary, which will offer deluxe pod pads in a quieter area close to the main arena.
