Black Eyed Peas main man Will.i.am continues to be a success as a solo artist and this has been proven by taking the number one spot in the Big Top 40. The artist who recently went solo has been hugely successful so far.

The singer has managed to knock Maroon 5 from the top spot with his latest single.

The recently released single, This Is Love, has been announced as new number one in the Big Top 40 chart.

The artist only released the song last month but already it look set to be a major hit, with many radio stations adding it to their daily playlists.

Will.i.am managed to knock Maroon 5 from the top spot who had spent a week there with a single form their new album Overexposed. Maroon 5 have fallen to the number two spot in the Big Top 40 music chart.

Chris Brown also entered the chart with his new single Don’t Wake Me Up; this was the second highest new entry of the week.

Will.i.am is fresh from the BBC music talent show The Voice, on commenting on the show the artist stated that it was important to try and find new music talent from the UK.
