Popular artist Example has this week topped the charts with his new single Stay Awake. This is the second single from the artist’s new album Playing in the Shadows. The artist who has recently played numerous festivals has gained great popularity among fans. Festival goers have spoken highly of the artist and the sets that he delivered whilst performing. Over the last twelve months the artist has increased his popularity greatly and he has now begun to attract fans from all over the world. Example has stated that he is hoping to have a UK tour in the next two years, an announcement that is bound to excite many of his loyal fans.

Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera moved one place to number two with their increasingly popular single Moves Like Jagger and the number one from last week Heart Skips A Beat from Olly Murs moved to number three.

The artist that everybody is speaking about at the moment, Ed Sheeran, saw his new single You Need Me I Don’t Need You placed at number four. At the same time his number one hit The A Team dropped to number thirteen this week.

The X Factor auditions continue to influence the charts with numerous singles entering the charts after they were performed on the show. It is likely in the coming weeks that many songs will re-enter the charts after contestants have performed them. In previous years singles such as Fast Car have actually re-entered the top ten singles chart after being performed on the show.
