Weekend X Factor Shock

Fans of the UK version of the X Factor were left shocked this weekend after one of the favourites to win the show, Ella Henderson, was voted off the show. Many regarded the sixteen year old to dominate the show but on Sunday she left the show after receiving the lowest number of public votes.

Speaking out after leaving the show the young singer admitted that she was incredibly gutted after being voted off the show. On the Saturday night the judge managing the artist, Tulisa, had pleaded with fans to vote for Ella.

Ella Henderson was featured in the bottom two alongside another show favourite, James Arthur. The two artists had to perform live on the Sunday show and the judges then decided they could not choose who they wanted to leave. As a result of this the deadlock went down to the public vote and Ella was announced as being the one to leave the competition.

It is likely that many people had assumed that the young star was safe and therefore did not vote for her. The judges and also the shows founder, Simon Cowell, have all spoken out about the shock caused.

The winner of the X Factor will be awarded a recording deal and will be supported by Sony Entertainment.
