Tinie Tempah Leads MOBO Nominations

Despite not releasing a new album this year Tinie Tempah heads up the nominations for the MOBO awards. Whilst the UK rapper has not released an album in 2011 the artist has certainly grown in popularity and he continues to be one of the major artists in the music scene. The English rapper has been nominated for four different awards at the up and coming MOBO awards ceremony. The MOBO awards recognises artist of any race or nationality that are performing black music. Tine Tempah has become arguably the most popular black rapping UK based artist in the music industry.

The twenty one year old artist whose real name is Patrick Okogwu will compete against some of the biggest names in the music business for the awards. The awards ceremony will be held on October 20th and he will compete for the titles of best newcomer, best UK act, best song and best video at the ceremony.

Other artists that have also received multiple nominations include Professor Green, N Dubz, Dizzee Rascal and Plan B; each of these acts has been nominated for three awards.

The MOBO awards nominations were announced on September 8th at the Mayfair Hotel in London; this will be the 15th MOBO awards ceremony. This will undoubtedly be another major awards ceremony that sees all of the major music artists joining together to recognise the high achievers.

Tinie Tempah has revealed that he is highly touched to have received so many nominations for the awards ceremony. As a past winner Tinie is hoping to secure at least one award whilst at the ceremony. Tempah is now recognised on an international level and he is one of the few UK black rapping artists to make it within the music business. Tinie has promised that he will continue to focus his efforts on the UK music market.
