The Stone Roses to Reform…

One of the most influential bands in UK history are set to join back together, to the delight of many of their fans. The Stone Rosses from Manchester were one of the biggest bands in history and they were hugely popular in the late 1980s. Rumours are increasingly occurring and it is expected that The Stone Roses will play two concerts in the city of Manchester next summer. It is believed that the major music promoter SJM are organising the concerts, these are likely to sell out

This will be the first time that the original line up will come together, the last time they played together was seventeen years ago. The original members that will come together include singer Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary Mani Mounfield and Alan Reni Wren. The fans are said to be ecstatic at this news and whist it hasn’t been confirmed yet it is almost guaranteed to be true.

A press conference will take place shortly and the rumours suggest that this has been called in order to announce that the band will get back together.

The band has a major following in the North West and they have numerous popular songs including I Wanna Be Adored, She Bangs The Drums and I Am The Resurrection. When they released Fool’s Gold in November 1989, this became the biggest indie dance crossover track.

A concert they held in Spike Island near Widnes, Cheshire in 1990 was regarded as one of the most fantastic concerts ever. At this concert there was 30,000 people and this is regarded as one of the best rock concerts ever.

There have been rumours surrounding the band reforming for numerous months and this is now likely to be the point that the band will announce the reformation.

The fans are hoping that there will be a UK tour although nothing will be confirmed until the press conference is held.
