City Showcase is one of the ultimate music events in London’s calendar. The annual event offers some great opportunities to emerging talent from across the UK and beyond, which includes performances, media coverage on television and radio, and valuable workshops and mentoring sessions. It’s an event that’s well regarded in industry circles, and by the fans that visit it, and now it’s back for 2010!
Yes, that’s right, the event that has offered exposure to the likes of Keane, Razorlight, and Scouting For Girls, has already started confirming details of the 2010 City Showcase, and you could be a part of it. Every year the City Showcase Team launch a search for credible, new, and emerging talent to take part in the three day event. In 2010 this will take place from 6th-8th May 2010, and will involve around 25 top London venues. Details so far confirmed include an outdoor stage in Gerrard Street, 3 nights at Borderline, one at The 100 Club, and various performances in retail outlets across Regent Street and Carnaby Street. Even the Apple Store in Regent Street will be taking part, as host for the three day workshop program.
The heart of the West End will come alive to all sounds and styles of music, so anything from Rock and Folk, to Pop, Urban, and Heavy Metal could be featured. This means virtually every singer, songwriter, or band has the chance to be considered. City Showcase strives to be the number one music showcase in London, so only the best submissions will be chosen, but one of those could be you!
