Ronnie Scott’s Ends Its Birthday Celebrations In Style!

Wouldn’t it be fun if we all had birthday celebrations that lasted a whole season, instead of just one day! Ronnie Scott’s is one lucky venue, but considering its outstanding contributions to music history over the years, we’ll let it off!

After a successful run of film showings, concerts, workshops, and guest appearances, Ronnie Scott’s will bow out of its 50th birthday celebrations in style with two great events!

First up on October 29th,is a special gala concert featuring a whole host of singers, musicians, and Ronnie Scott’s fans. The inspiring line-up features the vocal talents of Mick Hucknall, Sharleen Spiteri, Andrea Corr, and soul singer Natalie Williams. They will take to the stage alongside The Ronnie Scott’s Big Band and All Stars, pianist Liane Carroll, trumpeter Guy Barker, and several other singers. To make it an extra special occasion, The All Stars will be performing 50 years of Ronnie Scott’s music, and there’ll also be guest speakers, surprise guests, and what is sure to be a memorable late night jam session.

The amazing music will continue over the next two days (Oct 31st and Nov 1st) with two special concerts by Dr John. For those (like me) who don’t know much about New Orleans Blues music, this guy is something of a legend. He’s not just a singer, but a pianist and guitarist as well. Known for his electric blend of soul, funk, blues, boogie woogie, R&B, and rock and roll, his concerts are something not to be missed.

So there you have it, two events, one great line-up of eclectic music that crosses several genres, and generations of musicians. If you’d like to find out more, or book tickets for this event, then please visit www.ronniescotts.co.uk
