The Rolling Stones Announce Tour Dates

To the great joy of many music fans The Rolling Stones have confirmed that they will be performing their first live shows for five years. The band has announced that they will play four live gigs, with two of these being in London.

Speculation has been mounting around whether the shows will happen for many weeks and now the band have finally confirmed that it will happen. Along with performing in the UK the band will also perform on the east coast of the US. The announcement of the live tour has been made in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary year of the band.

The band leader, Sir Mick Jagger, told Chris Evans live on Radio 2 yesterday that the band would play a small number of shows to celebrate the anniversary.

In an announcement the band stated, “soon we’ll be back on stage playing for you in two cities that know how to rock and roll”.

The shows in London will be held at the o2 Arena and will be held on November 25th and 29th.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday and are likely to sell out almost instantly.
