Relentless Join The Festival Calendar For 2010!

With summer fast approaching, you’d think we’d pretty much drunk our fill of festival news here at music.co.uk, but oh no, there’s more! As one of the countries most well known drinks brands, they urge us not just to drink our fill of Relentless, but to join in with the Relentless Festival experience as well. Yes, these guys are returning to the festival fray for 2010, with events happening in Bath, and Newquay throughout the summer.

Relentless Nass and Relentless Boardmasters are both major extreme sports and music events for the UK, offering entertainment and activities for all the family. Kicking off the action from July 9-11th is Relentless Nass, taking place at the Bath and West Showground. Included in their great line-up of entertainment are music.co.uk favourites General Fiasco, who join Bowling For Soup, Morning Parade, and The Dead Formats on the main stage July 9th. Taking over on July 10th are Chase and Status, Tinie Tempah, Plan B, and Wiley. There’s also an indoor arena, featuring MC’s/DJ’s, and other live sets/ performances, from the likes of Andy C and MC GQ and Friction on the 9th, Caspa with Rod Azlan, Krafty Kuts, and Kidda on the 10th. Last but by no means least there’s the Exmoor Bar, hosting music on the 9th and 10th July, which includes sets from Young Guns, Telegraphs, Failsafe, Exit Ten, Crazy Arm, and Chicken Hawk.

Alongside the music, there’s a full program of sporting competitions and activities, which includes for 2010 a World Cup Skateboarding Competition, a brand new Street BMX Course, the UK Dirt BMX Championships, and the Huge Goliath ramp. There will also be freestyle skating, free running, dancers, and more. With some of the best in the country competing, there’s sure to be some awe inspiring skills on show.

Tickets are priced at £30 for a day pass, £70 for a weekend pass, with a child’s day ticket at £17.50 and a child’s weekend ticket at £35. Visit www.relentlessnass.com for further information and to purchase tickets.

If all that wasn’t enough to exhaust you, then following hot on the heels of Relentless Nass, is the Relentless Boardmasters Festival, taking place in Newquay. There’s double the fun as well, with the Relentless team taking over Fistral Beach for sports competitions, a bikini competition, and busy retail village, while Watergate Bay has not one, not two, but three stages to entertain festival goers with during the 5 day event. August 4th-8th are the dates you’ll need for your diary, and slap bang in the middle, from the 6th-7th, is the music action. Headlining the main stage this year is surfers favourite Newton Faulkner, along with Sea Sick Steve, Leftfield, and Chase and Status, along with a full supporting line-up of bands. It seems Chase and Status will be kept busy though, as they are also due on the Relentless stage for a DJ set, and will be joined by Gallows, Crystal Fighters, The Chapman Family, and Turbo Wolf among others. Last but by no means least, there’s also the Vans ‘Off The Wall Stage’, featuring Trash Talk, Madina Lake, and Casino Brawl, and the Beach Sessions, taking place at Fistral Beach Bar. Festival goers can browse the retail village, watch or maybe even take part in a competition (surfing/skating/BMX), and then chill out in the bar to the sounds of The Futureheads, Backbeat Sound System, and Ben Howard. All in all a exciting mix of punk, rock, indie, and dance is in-store over the festival weekend, and a World Qualifying Series 5 Star Event is part of the surf action! What could be better? Well some sunshine would be nice!

For the first year in the event’s history, festival goers will be able to stay on site with weekend camping packages being made available. Tickets for the event range from £15 for a Fistral Beach Sessions day ticket, to £95 for the all encompassing Charger Ticket. Head to www.relentlessboardmasters.com for further information and to purchase tickets.
