Music Live v Hellfire: Which Will You Choose?

Two events, one huge venue, and a great weekend of music in store! Yes it’ll soon be time for music to invade the NEC in Birmingham once again, and this year you’re sure to be spoilt for choice.

Music Live returns to the NEC from November 6-8th 2009 to celebrate its 10th anniversary! This is one of the UK’s premier music making events, and every year attracts visitors from across the country to its hallowed halls.

For those who haven’t yet been, Music Live is like 3 or 4 events all under one roof! There is of course the live stage, which has featured a host of awe inspiring tribute bands, rising talent, and special guest performances. There’s also drum and guitar clinics from some of the best in the business, seminars run by Music Tech magazine for those looking for a career in the music industry, and a very special Sound Expo. This is a must for any producer/remixer, a chance to meet like minded individuals, find out about the latest software and techniques, and brush up on your skills. Continuing with the education theme, the first day of the festival is Education Day! Top music colleges will be represented, including the BIMM, an establishment run by musicians with a wealth of experience in the industry. This day attracts thousands of students from all over the country, who also have the chance to attend exclusive seminars, and enjoy many hands-on musical experiences. Last but by no means least, there’s plenty of floor space to fill in the NEC, which every day will be transformed into a massive display of equipment, covering every aspect of music. All in all, this is an event that’s a must for every music junkie!! But the fun doesn’t end there!

Every night when the last Music Live visitors have left, the venue then comes alive to the sounds of The Hellfire Festival. The Hellfire Team are one of the UK’s leading independent promoters of rock and metal music, and have a stellar line-up of talent taking to the live stage over the Music Live weekend (November 6-8th 2009). The line-up currently includes acts like Anvil, Electric Eel Shock, October File, Cancer Bats, Sacred Mother Tongue, and Beholder. They’ve also lined up some influential headliners in the shape of EKY, Saxon, and Fields Of Nephilim. Also at Hellfire 2 is a Scuzz stage featuring Viking Skull, Esoterica, Bury Tomorrow, Fei Comodo, No Made Sense, and Senser. Other smaller music stages will come from The Big Cheese, Metal Hammer Incoming, and Terrorizer Cuts.
