Jessie J has broken a record for the most nominations ever received for the MOBO Awards. The young 23 year old singer has received five nominations for different awards. The awards which the artist has been nominated for include best newcomer, best UK act, best album, best video and best song. The nomination for the best song award has been given for her number one selling hit Do It Like a Dude.

The singer has revealed that she is very touched by receiving all of the different nominations. She revealed that she had never dreamed of receiving so many nominations. The artist said she has previously watched the biggest names in the music business picking up the awards, she says this was a true inspiration. Relatively new to the music scene the singer has shot to fame with numerous catchy songs. Not only this but the artist has picked up numerous celebrity admirers including Rihanna.

The MOBO Awards will be held on October 5th and Jessie J has revealed she cannot wait for the awards ceremony. The star has recently been at the MTV Music Video Awards in Los Angeles where she was praised heavily by music critics.

Popular UK artist Adele has also been nominated for four awards at the MOBO ceremony and young RnB star Katy B has also been nominated for several awards.

In the male categories, Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32 have each received four nominations. Tempah has revealed that the MOBO Awards are the highlight of his musical year.

Wretch 32, the twenty six year old artist has revealed that he is truly delighted after being nominated for numerous awards. The artist has been nominated for best newcomer, best UK act, best UK hip hop/grime act and best song. The artist will battle for the best song award with his single Traktor, in order to win this he will have to see off Jessie J.

Numerous other popular artists that have received nominations include the increasingly popular Chase & Status and also new comers Rizzle Kicks.

The best internal act nominations have been given to Beyonce, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Nicki Minaj.
