The winners of last year’s X Factor, Little Mix, have topped the charts in the UK for the second time. The band has taken the number one spot in the UK music singles chart with their single ‘Wings’.
The band members, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall all auditioned as solo acts on the X Factor television show but were later put together to make a group.
Little Mix previously held the number one spot with their debut single ‘Cannonball’.
The number one spot was taken in impressive style this week; figures from the Official UK Charts Company revealed that Little Mix outsold the number two spot, Sam And The Womp’s Bom Bom, by more than two copies to one.
The band have announced that they are thrilled at their achievement and have thanked their fans for their continued support.
A new number one also entered in the UK music album chart, Rita Ora took the number spot with her latest album release, ‘ORA’. The artist was also at number three in the singles chart with ‘How We Do (Party)’.
The X Factor television series which has produced numerous popular artists over the years restarted again recently. Owner of the show, Simon Cowell, will be looking to repeat the success of Little Mix.
