It was only yesterday that it was reported that Cheryl Cole had managed to take the number one spot in the UK Official Albums chart on Sunday with her new album. Although it now seems that the singer will be bumped from the number one spot by popular teenager Justin Bieber.

At the midweek point it has been revealed that Maroon 5 have beaten Cole to number one spot in the singles chart also. This will mean that Cheryl Cole will lose the number one spots that she held last week if the sales continue at this pace for all artists.

Maroon 5 currently hold the number one spot in the singles chart with their newly released single Payphone. Cheryl Cole still has a chance of retaining the number one spot for a second week as her single is placed at number two currently.

At number three is popular rap artist Flo Rida with his single Whistle, at four are Stooshe with Black Heart and at five are Coldplay and Rihanna with Princess of China.

One of the most notable movers in the singles chart is Katy Perry who has climbed eleven places to take the number twenty spot with Wide Awake.

If sales in the albums chart continue at this pace, Justin Bieber can look forward to achieving his first ever number one album in the UK. Currently the album from Bieber is 3,000 copies ahead of Cheryl Cole’s new album A Million Lights.

Paloma Faith is currently behind Cole in the number three spot with Fall To Grace and Amy McDonald is in the number four spot with Light.

Movers are still expected within the charts before the official announcements on Sunday.
