The forever popular Coldplay have announced five UK summer stadium shows for 2012. After the major success of their recent fifth album Mylo Xyloto the band chose to announce their live performances. The new album rocketed to the top of the charts in both the UK and the US; the album was released last month. The band have announced that they will play five live dates starting at Coventry’s Richoh Arena on May 29th.
The band will then move on to the Emirates Stadium in London of June 1st and June 2nd. After this they will travel to the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on June 7th and to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on June 9th.
The live stadium tour is expected to sell out fast and the band are hoping that their loyal fans will attend. Coldplay are renowned as being one of the best live bands that there is.
Many Coldplay fans are hoping that they band will shortly be announcing that they will be performing at several tours next year, although whether this happens depends upon festival organisers wanting the band.
Coldplay continue to be popular all over the world and not just within the UK.
The front man of the band Chris Martin has recently revealed that the first song that he wrote was about Sarah Ferguson’s breasts. Speaking out in an interview Chris Martin said that he was eleven and that the song was terrible. At the time people were becoming obsessed with Sarah Ferguson’s breasts and so he wrote a song about them.
Chris said that at that age he was socially motivated and that the song was quite media-savvy.
