Former X Factor bands JLS and One Direction will both be involved in the new X Factor charity video. It has been confirmed by the television show producers that the former bands will play an active part in the charity single. Viewers of the show have suggested that this boost is required as the current artists are not up to selling the charity single in large enough numbers.
Both the bands have been recorded in the new video which was released on 25th November. Each year the contestants on the television show produce a single where all of the proceeds go to charity.
The bands JLS and One Direction were both asked to contribute to the charity cover of Rose Royce’s Wishing On A Star. It is believed that both bands were asked to contribute personally by music mogul and television show owner Simon Cowell.
Both of the bands recorded the music video for the single alongside the other contestants which include Little Mix, Ameila Lily and Misha B.
It has also been confirmed that all of the proceeds from the charity single will go to the children’s charity Together For Short Lives.
