Introducing The Big Snow Festival

The Big Snow Festival LogoWhy ‘walk in a winter wonderland’ when you can ski/snowboard, and why just ski and snowboard, when you can hit the slopes to some of the hottest music around! Yes that’s right, this ski season you could be hitting the slopes in one of the coolest ski resorts around, and experiencing some top live music as part of The Big Snow Festival.

The organisers of the UK’s ever-popular Big Reunion event have decided to expand their brand in 2010, and have created The Big Snow Festival. Taking place from the 14th-21st March next year, the festival will arrive in Andorra’s premier ski resort, Arinsal. In terms of music, the festival team have brought together some of the UK’s biggest promoters, including Judge Jules, Trinity, Riot, Remix, and Kissdafunk. They will be joined by a great line-up of DJ talent, and live acts! Those confirmed so far include:

Stereotype, Leeroy Thornhill (Prodigy), Qemists (DJ set), Matrix and Futurebound, John O’Callaghan, BBC Radio 1’s DSC_7955Kutski, Anne Savage, Eddie Halliwell, Jaguar Skills, Toddla T, Eddie Temple Morris, Judge Jules, Kissy Sell Out, Goldie Lookin’ Chain Soundsystem.

If that impressive line-up isn’t enough to tickle your fancy, then headline acts will also be announced very soon, and of course, there’s the small matter of skiing and snowboarding too.

Arinsal is located in the Vallnord ski area, and its high altitude will ensure you have glistening peaks packed full of snow throughout your visit. The resort offers skiing and snowboarding for all abilities, from the complete novice, to the powder junkie looking for freestyle skiing and challenging black runs. For those that need it, there’s also a snow school with English speaking instructors.
