Indulge In Some Match Making With Yellow Tail Wines

tape-logo-2Match Making; it can be part and parcel of life sometimes, but not just in a human sense! Australian wine brand Yellow Tail is on a mission to match make their collection of wines with different music genres, to give the customer a new way to enjoy their favourite tipple and favourite tunes. In short, they have created the Yellow Tail Sample Sessions, a music/wine platform which is travelling around various shows and events in 2009, to showcase their wine/music matches. There are eight music/wine matches that have been put together by a senior winemaker at the company, and an Australian D.J, and if you’re at one of the following events, you’ll be able to try them out:

• 21st – 23rd August: Foodies at Edinburgh Festival
• 4th – 6th September: Chatsworth Game Fair
• 10th – 13th September: Blenheim Horse Trials
• 19th – 20th September: Royal Berkshire Show
• 26th – 27th September: Malvern Autumn Flower Show
• 22nd – 25th October: Wine Show London

The creative minds behind this project claim they’ve created a musical/wine match to suit every mood, and every musical taste as well by the looks of things. Why not take a trip down memory lane and party with:

• A Chardonnay and 80’s Rock (Blondie/Fleetwood Mac/Aerosmith)
• A Pinot Grigio and 60’s Music (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan)
• Yellow Tail Semillon Sauvignon Blanc and Disco (Donna Summer)
• Bubbles with Pop Music (Madonna, The Pet Shop Boys)
• Rosé and R&B (Missy Elliot, Destiny’s Child, and Usher)
• Cabernet Sauvignon and 70’s Rock ( Status Quo and Deep Purple)
• Merlot and The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Junior)
• Shiraz and 90’s Pop (The Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, George Michael)

If you can’t make it along to one of the Sample Sessions roadshows, you can still find Yellow Tail wines in all good supermarkets, and more information on the music/wine matches at http://www.yellowtailwine.com/uk/samplesessions/yt-summer.html.
Please enjoy wine responsibly.
