Green Day fans across the UK will be thrilled to hear that the tour of their musical will be happening across the country. The musical that has been produced, Green Day’s musical American Idiot, has been awarded several awards and is being lined up for Broadway next year.

The show will being in Southampton in October 2012 and will then travel across several different locations spread across the UK and Ireland. The award wining musical will close at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

The production which has been a major hit in the US has been awarded two Tony Awards for the features of Green Day’s music.

Front man of the festival, Billie Joe Armstrong, revealed that they can’t wait to bring the show to the UK.

Within the production are all of the biggest Green Day hits including Boulevard of Broken Dreams, 21 Guns, Wake Me Up When September Ends and American Idiot.

Tickets for the production will go on sale shortly and this undoubtedly going to be a sell out spectacular.
