Girls Aloud to Split

Reports are circulating that Girls Aloud will split on a permanent basis once they have completed their live arena tour.

The band, which includes Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle, are expected to announce the split in the next few days. The tour is now being advertised as the last time that the band will ever perform together.

A source close to the band has stated that the band have known for some time that this would be the last time the band will perform. Questions were asked at the press conference where the live tour was announced around whether the band would be splitting, although the girls purposely dodged these questions.

It is believed that the band have taken this decision because they no longer feel it is right for them to perform songs such as Love Machine when they are in their thirties. Along with this, each band member has forged a career in other areas away from music.

Once the band have confirmed their split it is expected that they will announce there will be further dates added to the live Ten – The Hits Tour. There is bound to be a rise in demand once this announcement has been made.

It was only last year that the band reunited in order to celebrate their tenth year in the music business.
