Whilst One Direction have taken the majority of the limelight in the young music scene, the band are proving that they are also highly generous. The band has recently nominated their writers for the Brits 2012 Unsung Hero Award.
The writers that are relatively unknown within the UK music industry would receive the Music Matters Unsung Hero Award at the Brit Awards if they were to win it.
The Swedish and American writing team being nominated by the band includes Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha. Speaking about the writers the band stated that they have been pivotal in building the sound of the band.
The writers co-wrote and also produced the first single released by the band, What Makes You Beautiful. This was consequently also the bands first number one and therefore they have plenty to be thankful for.
One Direction will face a battle with a Olly Murs and JLS in one of only three awards being decided by the public.
Young boyband One Direction have revealed that they are hoping to bag several awards at this years Brit Awards, it remains to be seen whether this will happen.
