Diamond Jubilee Song at Number One

Take That star Gary Barlow has taken the number one spot in both the UK Single and Album charts with his song created for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. The artist was commissioned to create a song to celebrate the jubilee and it has been a major success.

The single and album which are both named ‘Sing’ was created by featuring musicians from across the entire Commonwealth. Many music critics have stated that this is one of the most unique songs of all times.

This success arrives for Gary Barlow after he last week helped to organise the Jubilee concert which was held at Buckingham Palace. The overall success of the Diamond Jubilee has helped to promote this single and album in a major way.

Other new entrants into the Official UK Album Chart included Dexys who were formerly known as Dexy’s Midnight Runners. They entered the charts at number thirteen with One Day I’m Going to Soar.

In the UK singles chart the number one from last week, Feel the Love by Rudimental, dropped down to number four. Popular rapper Flor Rida entered the charts at number two and Usher entered at number five.
