Cheryl Cole Announces No New Music Plans

Pop star Cheryl Cole has announced that she has announced that she has no immediate plans for any new music.

The singer has recently revealed that she has yet to think about working on the follow up to her 2012 album, A Million Lights. The album was Cheryl’s first to reach the number 1 spot.

During an interview with Daybreak, Cheryl Cole said that since putting her solo career on hold for the recent Girls Aloud reunion, she has to begin on any new music.

Last year Girls Aloud made their musical comeback to celebrate their 10 year anniversary together.

The group announced a year long hiatus to pursue their own solo projects in 2009. Cheryl Cole was the first member to release solo music; releasing her album 3 Words in October 2009. Since then the singer has had a string of top 10 hits and has released follow up albums, Messy Little Raindrops and A Million Lights.

In 2008 Cheryl famously joined the X Factor judging panel, winning two years in a row after mentoring Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry.

They released their second greatest hits album, Ten at the end of 2012. From this album two singles, Something New (the 2012 Children in Need single) and Beautiful Because You Love Me.

Along with the new music, the band also began a new tour to celebrate their tenth year in the music industry. However after completing their tour this year, the band announced that they would not be releasing any new music together.

Of course this announcement could spark speculation that Cheryl’s music plans have been put on hold due to a potential return to The X Factor. However, given the way she has spoken about the show since she was infamously fired from the American version of the show, it’s probably safe to assume that the pop star won’t be making a return to her seat on the judging panel anytime soon.
