Busted Join Mcfly On Stage

Busted fans were in for a treat last night when two of the ex-band members joined Mcfly on stage to play some of their well known songs.

Matt Willis and James Bourne made the surprise appearance at Mcfly’s 10th anniversary show at the London Albert Hall last night.

The groups temporarily joined together to create ‘McBusted’, with the new name lit up across the back of the stage. The band performed two classic Busted hits, ‘Year 3000’ and ‘Air Hostess’.

Last night was one of four nights at the London Albert Hall for Mcfly, who are playing there in celebration of their tenth anniversary.

However the final member of the line-up, Charlie Simpson did not make an appearance at the concert. Since Busted disbanded in 2005, arguably it is Charlie who has had the greatest musical success, releasing a string or records with post-hardcore band Fightstar. He also reached number six in the album charts a few years ago with his first solo album.

Sadly for all Busted fans, there appears to be no sign of a full Busted reunion. In 2010 various rumours were flying around that the band would be willing to tour again and release a new record for a million pound deal. This was soon dismissed by Charlie Simpson, who said he has no immediate plans for a Busted reunion, but wishes Matt and James all the best.

Fans of Mcfly need not despair though, as Danny Jones has recently described Mcfly’s upcoming album as ‘amazing’ and ‘we believe we are writing songs better than ever.’
