ITV2’s Big Reunion have announced that they will be releasing a Christmas song this year.
The show, which focused on reuniting some of the biggest bands of the 90’s and the early 00’s featured bands such as Atomic Kitten, 911, Five, Honeyz; B*Witched, Blue and Liberty X.
For their Christmas single the bands will join together to release a cover of Wizzard’s ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’.
The single will be released on December 15th.
All profits made from the single sales will go to ITV’s ‘Text Santa’ appeal, which raises money and awareness for six UK based charities every Christmas. The show will be broadcast on December 20th.
The reality TV documentary first aired on ITV2 on January 31 this year, and focused on reuniting the bands and later the rehearsals for the live tour.
The show had over 1.2 million views on its premiere show, making it the networks highest rated first show in five years. Since its release the show went on to get a million views each week.
It is rumoured that a second series of the Big Reunion could take place next year, with Another Level and Eternal being named as possible bands for the show.
