Pete Doherty’s band Babyshambles have announced they will be embarking on a 20 date tour at the end of the year.
Despite having performed a few low key performances, the tour will be the first live dates the band will have performed together since 2010.
The tour will kick off in Glasgow on September 4, and will include dates in Leeds, Newcastle, Lincoln, Liverpool and the 02 Academy in London. The tour will finish on October 21 in Bournemouth.
Forming in 2003, the band have released two albums, Down in Albion (2005) and Shotter’s Nation (2007).
The band are currently in Paris putting the finishing touches to their third studio album. It was reported earlier this year that Pete Doherty had joined forces with produces of Shotter’s Nation Stephen Street, to work on the new album.
There is speculation growing among fans and critics that the band will use the tour dates to debut music from the new Babyshambles album.
