British artist Adele was awarded two gongs at the popular Q Awards but she was too ill to attend. Other noticeable individuals that were awarded at the Q’s included U2, Coldplay, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Noel Gallagher and Gary Barlow.

Adele walked away with the award for Best Female Artist after beating Laura Marling, Jessie J, Beyonce and PJ Harvey. The artist was also awarded with the award for Best Track for her track Rolling in the Deep. Adele had been expected to attend the awards but she was too ill and therefore pulled out at the last minute.

At present Adele is under strict doctors orders to stay at home and rest her voice after she recently suffered from a vocal cord hemorrhage; this resulted in her having to cancel her entire US tour.

It is believed that at present that Adele is too ill to even speak and she is currently resting so that she is OK to perform in the future.
