Despite passing away recently, Amy Winehouse has continued to dominate the music charts in the UK. Described by many as one of the best artists in UK history the star sadly died after previously battling with numerous addictions. A recent inquest appears to have found that the singer died from an overdose of alcohol.

Although Winehouse did have a troubled career, the fact that she was one of the greatest British acts of all time cannot be denied. Winehouse sold albums all over the world and picked up numerous prestigious music awards. She was also famed for completing numerous high profile collaborations with other artists.

Not the artist has topped the album charts in the UK with her infamous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures. It has been revealed that all proceeds from the album will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

The album includes original work and covers that were performed by Winehouse during her music career; it was compiled by her friends and close working partners Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson.

Our Day Will Come, one of the singles featured on the album also entered the UK music charts at number twenty nine. In previous times the artist has had a large number of number one hits.

Amy Winehouse becomes yet another music artist that continues to perform at an outstanding level despite being deceased. She follows in the footsteps of Michael Jackson who also continues to sell millions of records despite being deceased.

Amy’s dad Mick continues to support his daughter and is hoping to raise as much money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation as possible.
