Adele Picks Up Three VMAs

Adele has represented the UK exceptionally well at this years MTV Video Music Awards. The British music star rubbed shoulders with major recording artists including Beyonce and Katy Perry. The awards which are held on a yearly basis occurred on Sunday and saw all of the biggest names in music coming together to recognise the best music videos of the year. Adele, who has had phenomenal success in the UK and all over the world was heavily praised at the awards and picked up several awards. The awards presented to Adele were for Best Art Direction, Best Editing and Best cinematography. The song Rolling in the Deep was heavily recognised at the awards and many popular artists praised the British singer.

As well as being presented with the numerous awards Adele also performed at the event, she sang her number on single Someone Like You. Performed like a true great the artist revealed that she had goosebumps as she sang. Styled in a black mini dress and with heir hair styled in a 1960s way the artist oozed elegance whilst performing at the prestigious event. Adele picked up an unusual fan whilst at the awards, Britney Spears revealed in an interview with Selena Gomez that she was very interested in hearing Adele and that she was her biggest fan.

At the performances there was also a tribute to the recently deceased British artist Amy Winehouse. Numerous major music stars paid tribute to the star and revealed that her music had been a true inspiration. Many of the top hits which Winehouse recorded were played at the event and the life of the artist was celebrated in true MTV style.

Britney Spears, may well be the biggest fan of Adele but she was also a major winner at the awards. She was presented with the most prestigious award of the night, The Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. Spears was presented with an award for the best pop music video.

The popular artist Nicki Minaj was also awarded at the ceremony, she was presetned with the award for the best hip hop video for her song Super Bass. Other winners included Katy Petty, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters.
