Adele to Open The Grammy Awards?

The Grammy Awards organisers have revealed that they are hoping for Adele to open the awards ceremony next month. If this plan does happen it would be the first live performance that Adele has completed since she underwent surgery in November.

In 2011 the artist was forced to cancel all live performances due to illness, surgery was carried out on the singers throat in order to rectify problems. There had been worries that the singer may lose her singing ability.

The twenty three year old talented artiest has been nominated for six Grammy awards. These include a nomination for album of they year, record of the year and song of the year.

An insider has revealed that Adele is thrilled to have been nominated for so many awards, although it has been a very difficult period due to the illness. At one point the doctors had ordered the singer to stop talking, although this has now been lifted.

It has been revealed that Adele has not yet been able to give an answer in regards to whether she will be able to perform. The management team of the signer stated that they would know more in early February after further medical advice has been gained.

It has been a terrific year for Adele and it is hoped that this will continue into 2012.
