50 Cent Set for First Ever UK Number One

Popular American rapper 50 Cent is on course for his ever UK number one. The rapper who has recently released the single ‘My Life’ looks set to take the number one spot in the Official Top Forty Chart this week.

The single which also features Eminem and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine is currently in number one at the midweek stage. Last weeks number one, ‘Scream & Shout’ by Will.I.Am has dropped to the number two position.

Popular artist Justin Timberlake is also set for a top five position in the UK music charts with his first single release in nine years. The artist has recently launched ‘Suit & Tie’ and this is proving incredibly popular within the UK. Rihanna is currently in the number five position with ‘Stay’, whilst boy band One Direction are in number ten with ‘Kiss You’.

Biffy Clyro has also entered the charts with ‘Black Chandelier’, this currently takes the number eleven at the mid-week stage. Emeli Sandie and Adele have also seen their songs rise in the charts at the mid-week point.

The Official Top 40 Chart is revealed every Sunday between 4pm and 7pm; at present it seems highly likely that 50 Cent will take his first ever UK number one.
