The 1975 Announce New Album ‘Music for Cars’

The 1975 have announced the follow-up to 2016’s I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It.

Singer Matt Healy revealed the less wordy name of their forthcoming album, Music for Cars, during an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple’s Beats 1 Radio on Thursday.

Amid talking about the band’s career Healy dropped the news about their upcoming record. “Music for Cars has always been called that, and we were always gonna do a trilogy of records,” he said.

As for if there are solo record plans in Healy’s near future, the singer recently told Rolling Stone that it wasn’t in the cards. “I think things like that happen when people want another creative outlet. I’ll just make a different-sounding 1975 record.”
