Adele Postpones Concerts

Pop sensation Adele has been forced to cancel part of her North American tour due to her suffering from illness. It is believed that Adele is suffering from laryngitis and her record label have stated that five dates of the tour would have to be postponed. Four of these dates would have been in North America and the fifth would have been in Vancouver during a stop over in Canada.

It is hoped that the singing sensation will resume her tour shortly, allow this will only happen once given the all clear by medical staff. Cancelled performances include Salt Lake City, Seattle and Portland.

Adele has apologised sincerely to all of her fans and has promised to reschedule the performances as soon as she can. She stated that she was truly devastated that the events had to be cancelled. The singer did attempt to carry on with the tour but her management stopped this after a sound check that revealed she was clearly too ill to carry on.

The record company for Adele have stated that the new dates will be announced shortly and that fans should be patient. All those who are unable to attend the new dates will be entitled to a full refund.

Adele who operates under a different name to her real name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins has brought a fresh approach to the UK music industry. In the past three years she has released two albums that have been incredibly successful.
The first album was ’19’ and this was released in 2008, it was welcomed greatly by music fans. The album won two Grammys and Adele also won awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

The following album was ‘21’ and this has sold incredibly well in total there have been over six million copies sold across the world. This album also topped the UK charts fro 15 of the last 17 weeks. On this album there are numerous singles that are popular with her fans. The first released single Rolling in the Deep went straight to number one and resided there for numerous weeks. Her music brings something different to the charts and this appears to be welcomed by music fans.
