The Techno Experiment @ The Zoo Manchester

    The Techno Experiment

    @ The Zoo Night Club

York street Just off Grosvenor Street, Manchester, M1 7HE

    Saturday March 3rd 2007

The Techno Experiment is a new concept for Manchester’s club scene. This is a musical extravaganza like no other – unravelling the chains created by genre categorization and re-packaging them as a more forward thinking experience. Techno and electronic music has such a wide variety of sounds and levels and we attempt to bring together many innovators of different sections of the techno community in ways no others have ever dared. The Techno Experiment is our chance to break the boundaries of music in a way that only techno music can achieve. Prepare to be part of The Techno Experiment!

    BILLY NASTY & DJ RIBBZ
(B2B FOR THE 1ST TIME EVER!)

Billy Nasty is one of UK techno’s biggest exports, with almost twenty years experience as a DJ. He’s featured heavily in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll over the years and runs his own labels Tortured and Electrix. A sensation in the European techno scene, tonight we put him together with the leader of the underground sound in the UK techno rave scene – DJ Ribbz. This will be one of the most unexpected and experimental back-to-back techno has ever witnessed.

BEN LONG (SPACE DJZ) VS MARK EG
    (INSANE 8 DECK MASH-UP)

Ben Long is one half of the legendary UK techno outfit The Space DJz and he’s released on some of the best labels in the world including Novamute and his own Potential Recordings. Ben’s world renowned cut and scratch style will knock you off your feet as we put him together with UK techno legend Mark EG. Mark runs Blackout Audio and releases under the name The Anxious on labels such as Fine Audio, Planet Rhythm and Audio Assault. With 2 Mixers and 8 Decks to hand, this is going to be one hell of a mash-up!

    JOHN BERRY & MUCKY BEATS

Original Orbit resident and owner of Eastern Bloc Records John Berry takes on Kick The Drum Records label boss and F.A.T Collective member Mucky Beats. Expect a mix up of styles - from old to new.

    JAY KNIGHT & TIPTOE

Both the Locked and Darkside residents will open up the event, with a dirty Electro Techno selection that will have you climbing the walls!

    ORIEL & D. JACQUES

With a nod to the new school, we bring you fresh new talent from Manchester and North Wales. Oriel and D. Jacques will present to you an off-the-wall selection of party music, complementing the night perfectly.
